Despite being fierce rugby rivals, All Blacks captain Ardie Savea and Springboks’ Siya Kolisi enjoyed fellowship and friendship with a trip to church.

The players have developed a firm friendship off the pitch, and even refer to each other as “brothers”.

On his Instagram account, All Blacks captain Ardie Savea posted pictures of his trip to church alongside Siya Kolisi, the captain of he Springoks.

The rugby players and pals attended the Rivers Church in Sandton.

Ardie and Siya enjoyed praise and worship, and a thought-provoking message.

“Nothing better than being in the presence of the lord with my brother in Christ”, Ardie captioned the heartfelt

Speaking ahead of his 100th test match appearance last year, Ardie shared how the All Blacks – who are in South Africa for the Greatest Rivalry series – had a special bond with the Springboks.

He said of the South African side: “Huge respect to the Springboks”.

He added: “To be able to go out there firstly and be named to play against the Springboks in this test match is a great challenge. And something that you know is going to be hard and tough. But something for all of us to work towards.”

“We’re just brothers off the field, we represent two different countries that you know want to get the result”.

GREATEST RIVALRY, AND RESPECT
