Who knew a grandma playing Minecraft could help her grandson fight cancer? <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The grandma herself, Sue Jacquot, didn\u2019t know until she went viral. After a little money from her videos comes in, it\u2019s all going toward her grandson’s medical bills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ever since her grandkids taught her to play Minecraft, the 81-year-old Arizona resident has been uploading videos under the gamer name, GrammaCrackers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Her grandson, Jack, is currently in remission for sarcoma cancer, which affects soft muscles and tissue. His family still has a lot of medical bills to pay from his chemo treatments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe first couple of months I was kinda intimidated [by\u00a0Minecraft<\/em>],\u201d she\u00a0said\u00a0in her first video. \u201cBut I\u2019ve been playing more the past couple of months, and I really enjoyed it, and I invite you to come along with me in this new adventure.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Her grandson, Austin, set up a GoFundMe to help cover Jack\u2019s expenses, too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cYou\u2019re stepping into a little world that\u2019s different than your own,\u201d she\u00a0said. \u201c[I\u2019m] GrammaCrackers because I like Graham Crackers.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cPeople responded so positively,\u201d she\u00a0explained. \u201cThat\u2019s when I realized maybe I could get enough money to help my daughter and her family pay for some of this treatment that Jack\u2019s been through.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Jack says his treatment was months long and very difficult. <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cHe\u2019s just a very special young man,\u201d Sue\u00a0said. \u201cIt was devastating.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cIt\u2019s really like a mortgage on a small house by the time you finish the chemo,\u201d she\u00a0said\u00a0of the medical bills.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\nThey Also Set Up a GoFundMe to Help<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
