Lebanon refuses to be a battleground again.

Lebanese President Joseph Aoun condemned Israel’s attacks on Lebanon, stating that the country would not allow itself to be turned back into a “platform for support wars that have nothing to do with it.”

According to the official news agency NNA, Aoun stated that the firing of rockets from Lebanese territory risks drawing the country into dangerous military conflicts in the region, and that this targets the state’s efforts to keep Lebanon out of conflict.

Aoun also condemned Israel’s attacks on Lebanese territory, warning that turning Lebanon back into a “platform for support wars that have nothing to do with it” would expose the country to new risks.

Aoun emphasized that the responsibility for any negative developments would lie with the parties that disregarded the repeated calls to maintain security and stability, adding that the Lebanese state would not allow such a situation to recur and that the Lebanese people would not accept it either.

Israel ArmyA statement from the spokesperson said that sirens were activated in the north of the country after it was determined that a missile had been fired from Lebanon.

The Israeli army announced it had launched airstrikes across Lebanon, claiming to target Hezbollah, after which explosions were heard in the capital Beirut.

The Israeli army had threatened to attack more than 50 villages and towns in southern Lebanon and the Bekaa Valley, asking residents to leave their homes.

Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, United States company’s social media In a statement posted on his social media account, he emphasized that the rocket attacks launched from the south of the country (towards Israel) were an irresponsible act and unacceptable, regardless of which side was behind them.

Following Israeli attacks on numerous areas, primarily Beirut, Lebanese Prime Minister Salam called an emergency cabinet meeting.

This was the first attack on Israel from Lebanon since the US and Israel launched attacks on Iran.
